Dog Safety

Animal Control Officers, Jane and Virginia from Hutt City came to teach us about keeping safe around dogs. They brought Amber with them for us to meet and learn to pat safely.  First we had to ask the owner if we could pat the dog, then offer the back of our hand for Amber to sniff and then we patted Amber under the chin and around the neck. We all practised this with Amber and Virginia.
